What is a Psychology Assessment?

A psychology assessment is a way for the Psychologist to get information together. Information is gathered on the intellectual, emotional and social development of a person. The older a judge gets, things can start going downhill. Also the length of time a judge has spent presiding over family matters is an important factor this can lead to burn out.

It is not fair to assess natural parents without also assessing foster parents and  court judges are given a psychological assessment before involving themselves in court.  Furthermore, it is known that foster parents and adoptive parents have caused harm to children that they are given care of.  A natural parent has a right to feel secure about, which strangers are around their children.

 

The appearance of justice revisited.

In 1919, the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology  criminology,  the study of crime, society’s response to it, and its prevention, including examination of the environmental, hereditary, or psychological causes of crime, modes of criminal investigation and conviction, and the efficacy of punishment or correction (see published an article by George Everson, titled “The Human Element in Justice.”(1) In that article, Everson described an empirical research. (2) Among other conclusions, Everson identified what he called the “remarkable degree” to which the disposal of cases reflected the temperament and personality of judges. (3) Everson described the richness and complexity of the “appearance of justice” for the judges studied …
