Writing for NewsOne.com, Dr. Boyce Watkins gives 10 tips for black men when dealing with police encounters. Black males are far more likely to go to prison and to die in the custody of police than other citizens.

The title states black men, but if you live in certain key areas, for example, Northampton, Northamptonshire, UK and you are a black woman, 6 ft tall with a London accent this information will prove useful (better still, move anywhere within England apart to Northampton). You will find yourself treated worse than a black man by the local establishment.  This is how many white men have described my case.  These men have never used racist slurs to communicate with me, or abused my child and I, in the name of justice. Furthermore, if you are a black woman and not from London, but live in an area where discrimination is rife, still take note.

Lastly, if you are non-black for example eastern European or a white male aged between the ages of 16 to 25, the information may prove useful, when you least expect it..
