Life is never what you planned…


The thing is adoption seems very simple when you don’t know much about it. As you commit to the process, going through a dozen or more home visits, training courses and you start to read, books, blogs, Facebook pages, websites, forums you come to the dawning realisation that there is nothing simple about this at all!

When we started the adoption process we just wanted to be parents, that was it. We couldn’t conceive, Lord knows we tried but when after all the poking and prodding IVF loomed on the horizon we knew it was not for us. We turned to adoption knowing that a child would not have to be genetically our own for us to love and cherish.

The thing is adoption seems very simple when you don’t know much about it.
