Social workers’ training too focused on theory rather than working with children

An official government report has found training for social workers focuses
too much on human rights theory and not enough on actually protecting the
vulnerable in practice

Sourced through from:

New social workers are not up to the job of protecting vulnerable children because training is too focused on human rights and theories of Aristotle rather than practical skills of working with young people, a government report has warned.

Sir Martin Narey, the government’s adviser on children’s social care, said a lot of social workers are not adequately trained to work with vulnerable children and are spending too much time in the classroom learning about ideology.

NOTE : The mention of Human Rights is a joke right?

I quote, "I thought it was focused on making children sad and breaking up families to make money from foster caring and adoption."

We all are aware the above quote to be true.
