Police Force Fined For Passing On Personal Details In Domestic Violence Case

A police force has been fined after sensitive personal details of a woman who accused her partner of domestic abuse were passed to the suspect.

KENT Police was fined £80,000 on Thursday 21st April 2016 after passing on sensitive personal information of a woman accusing her police officer partner of domestic violence to the suspect himself.
Kent Police handed the suspect’s solicitor the entire contents of the complainant’s mobile phone.
