In Gaza And Beyond: Eva Karene Bartlett
Eva Karene Bartlett is a Canadian activist and blogger who is known for promoting conspiracy theories about Syria. She writes op-eds for the television network RT. Bartlett describes herself as an “independent writer and rights activist.
Since 2007 I’ve been writing from and on issues in the Middle East, mainly occupied Palestine and in recent years Syria, fighting for its existence under a foreign war of aggression. For 8 months in 2007, I reported on the ground in West Bank areas of occupied Palestine, where I saw invasions and lockdowns of villages by the heavily-armed Israeli army, excessive brutality against truly unarmed protesters, and the unchecked violence of illegal Jewish colonists against Palestinian civilians, among other crimes. Twice arrested there due to solidarity work, ultimately deported after a third 4 day arrest by the Zionists, I was banned by the same entity from Palestine, in December 2007.

Palestine and Israel Introduction
The Israeli-Palestinian conflict, or Arab-Israeli conflict, or whatever name it goes by, is perhaps one of the more sensitive issues that is discussed. From the historic British dominance in the Middle East, and the more recent US influence and control over the region, the Anglo-American goal is simply to be able to dominate the Middle East due to the vast oil reserves and the West’s economic dependence upon it. Prior to the discovery of oil, one of the main reasons for involvement in the Middle East had been religious (Christianity, Judaism and Islam all have roots in the Middle East) and on the natural arable land. During the Cold War, the Soviet excuse may have been used on numerous occasions to justify involvement there, but in modern times, it has always been for oil.
