The claimant – now 22-years-old – appeared via video link to give evidence and confirmed details given in a filmed police interview in 2013 when the incidents were reported.
It is alleged that Mr Wigglesworth met the claimant over social networking website Netlog in 2007 – when the girl was 14 – and that he would pick her up after school at least once a week over a two-year period, take her to his home and rape the teenager.
“I told him it was hurting me and I told him no. He said ‘it’s so wrong but it feels so right’,” said the claimant, after questioning by Sally Fudge, prosecuting.
“He said no one would believe me because he was a police officer.”
Answering why she had kept going back, the claimant said: “I was scared of him, he knew where I lived and I didn’t know what to do.”
